The first resolve

It always matters ... isn't it? That first look, that first impression, that first time!

More so, for us - the womankind. However, does it really matter if you are a man or a woman? Don't we all want to be and look our best at all times? To put the best foot forward. Keeping good health and being properly groomed are just the basics of a happy life for most of us. And why just health and fitness - what about just being properly turned out for important events in our lives - marriages , get-togethers , job interviews et all. As for me, I know I have had my sense of humor has come to my rescue multiple times in situations when I lacked proper grooming.

You will know this comes from the core of my heart, since I have spent years dealing with nagging health and fitness issues - something that kept putting me on the back-foot every time I wanted to set sail.

How I have been depressed about not looking the way I wanted to - since I had some loose flab hanging from the sides. How I wished I could get that make-over like they showed in some television programs, just that a one time make-over was an unrealistic proposition. So what if I was not built to suit a fashion model's frame ... we are the real ones who exist everywhere. In homes, in the parks, in the offices. We are in plenty and we know how to take care of ourselves. And just because they do not cater to us specifically, do we stop catering to our own selves.

Here I take my first resolve that from this day and time, I will take myself more seriously. Take care of my health and pay a little more attention and care to how I step out. We will compensate – for our sizes by good health, for our flabby bodies by an exquisite skin texture, for our lack – luster skin by being perfectly groomed, for our perfect shapes by complementing it even further by the way we carry ourselves.  Incremental baby steps.
